Cinnamon Scholes, Technical Director High Street

Skilled, knowledgeable and creative - you know you are in safe hands with talented colourist Cinnamon Scholes. She can take the simplest colou and add a point of difference that gives you, your own bespoke look, leaving you wowed. At the essence of her work is her desire to transform a simple cut to an extraordinary one with the clever placement of colour, “colour is important to me and I want to be an inspiration to people who identify with colour and show that you can specialise in this area, be successful and make a fabulous career out of it," she says.

Cinnamon is hungry to develop her skills and equally passionate about inspiring others. Platform work is her outlet for this. She has travelled the world – New Zealand, Australia and England working at the Toni&Guy Collection launches, on stage in London at Salon International and attended the Toni&Guy Art Director Conferences. Here in New Zealand she is renowned for her colour work through the many Toni&Guy seminars and shows where Cinnamon heads the colour department. These shows can be for an event such as Hair X, product launches for Wella or showing the latest ideas and influences from Toni&Guy. She is also no stranger to television having done the colour work for the series “Ten Years Younger in Ten Days” and the soon to be aired show “Starting Over.”

An essential part of the Toni&Guy team for over a decade now Cinnamon’s vast experience has meant that she is one of three New Zealanders invited to join the exclusive Wella Professionals Colour Club. This means she is one of the first hairdressers to use new colour products and works with Wella Professional to influence the launch of new products. Cinnamon has also just completed the prestigious Wella Professionals Master Colour Programme. The programme is offered by invitation and is the ultimate course in colour, covering everything from basic colouring through to colour correction and the chemistry of colour.
