Welcome back Lauren McCombe!

After 8 years in London and Ireland we are super excited to announce that Lauren McCombe is back in NZ with us. Break out the champagne

In 2016 while working from the Kensington High St salon in London, Lauren won the award for having the highest number of clientele in the world. Toni Mascolo the co-founder of Toni&Guy personally congratulated her for this incredible achievement.

Lauren's potential was recognised early in her career and she was awarded a Toni&Guy scholarship where she had one on one training with the best in the industry. That lead to her winning a position in the prestigious Breakthrough team of 2012 which provided a fast track to learning all the qualities of an international ‘Artistic Director’, requiring her to work both on stage and backstage with some of the industry greats. It also presented Lauren with opportunities to teach at the London T&G Academy and at a number of London fashion weeks.

Lauren has travelled and worked around the globe which has broadened her hairdressing skills and given her a deeper insight to all hair types and textures, she is not only an internationally recognised colourist and stylist, she is obsessed with her craft.

Family means everything to Lauren and after working in Ireland for a year she decided it was time to move back home to New Zealand, not only to be with her biological family but also to be with her Toni&Guy family. “I remember writing a special letter for Lauren to leave school at the age of 14, even at that age she was really passionate about hairdressing and couldn’t wait to join our team and begin her training with us” said Bronwyn Illingworth-Kronfeld, owner of Toni&Guy NZ, “To have achieved so much at such a young age is truly remarkable. The thing that blows me away about Lauren is how much her clients love her and that’s because she wants the best for each and every one of them, she genuinely cares. I’m really looking forward to supporting her in the next stage of her career, watch this space…”

Bookings are now open for Lauren, she’ll be back with us on the 8th of February 2018, be in quick as this young lady builds a clientele like no one I have ever seen. We are sure you will love her as much as we do!
